I created this space for a few reasons, to showcase how I move through the digital marketing space and how I’m able to use my knack for creativity to work through problems, whether it be personal or professional.
Professionally, this site is home to my digital marketing work. A place where prospective employers can see not just what I've done, but how I think, create, and approach my own brand story. And of course, building this site itself is part of the portfolio.
I'm also an artist. I paint, sculpt in clay, design nails, and document it all on social media platforms. Creating content using my artistic abilities has allowed me to understand the landscape of digital marketing even better. Having a creative eye that shapes my art informs how I see marketing, aesthetics, and storytelling.
i•spy•shel
I spy came first, a nod to the I Spy books I grew up reading, the ones that trained you to look closer, notice more, find what others would miss. That instinct never left me. The way I see the world, the details, the aesthetics, the things slightly off to the side, has always felt distinctly mine.
Shel is what the people closest to me call me. Those that know me before the resume.
And the one L? Because it will always be one L!
Put it together and you get i•spy•shel, a name that is equal parts personal and intentional. A domain that doubles as a statement: I have a keen eye, I know who I am, and I built this space to show you both.
This site lives at the intersection of my professional and personal worlds. It's a marketing portfolio, a creative archive, and an honest look at how I think. The logo, the aesthetic, the content, all of it is an extension of the same eye that's been noticing things since I was a kid with an I Spy book in hand.
